The father of public relations is considered to be Edward L. Bernays, and I loved a recent quote of his about the PR industry I read in his book recently, A Definitive Study of Your Future in Public Relations: “Public Relations does not mean selling a product, an idea, or a personality. Instead, it depends fundamentally on doing – action and deeds that are geared to public understanding and acceptance.”

At my firm, fundamentally we believe we are results-focused rather than process focused. Now, of course everything has to be strategically found and based in good business reasoning, but at the end of the day, Nike’s famous easy slogan resonates with all of us at 5WPR: “Just Do it!”
