Am on vacation this week, yet being an entrepreneur for me means never being able to take a real vacation. Even when visiting the gorgeous South of France, am still working, making conference calls and able to keep up with work.

Taking a vacation is something some entrepreneurs feel guilty about. Life passes by quickly – children and families grow older – and time away also offers such clarity of thought that when one returns from vacation they can think even clearer than before. I know when I return from time away I return with such clarity and focus it makes me even more effective. Vacation is needed for ones health and sanity and so many other reasons. (And for me Europe & The Middle East vacations are ideal – with the 6 or 7 hour time difference, it means Ican complete a full day and by the time the kids go to bed spend an hour catching up on work and still have had beach and relaxation full day).

Just finished reading a great book called :”Digital Assassination: Protecting Your Reputation, Brand, Or Business Against Online Attacks”. Everyone today is active in the world of Public Relations – With the ease of social media, anyone able to edit Wikipedia, the divergence of media outlets, and so much regular content creation it means that managing online reputation (for good and bad) is a necessary task for any PR Firm. Enjoyable reading.

Funny while away am trying to increase my workouts – and the same week I get emails from my friend, real estate mogul Elie Hirschfeld telling me he’s doing the triathalon yet again. Inspiring to push me to run, swim and bike more.

Enjoyed my interview this week with Doug Simon, CEO of D S Simon Productions as part of his regular Vlogviews series. He does great interviews with many influential and interesting PR folks and is worth following. My interview can be viewed at: http://www.vlogviews.com/ronntorossian/
